[SSG CIRCULAR/QMD/2018/9]: (A) USE OF SSG NAME & LOGO; AND (B) MARKETING GUIDELINES FOR SKILLSFUTURE CREDIT SCHEME AND SSG FUNDED COURSES

Dear Training Providers,

(A) USE OF SSG NAME AND LOGO

In October 2016, in conjunction with the establishment of SSG, SSG sent an update to all Training Providers (TPs) on the use of name and logo of SSG in the publicity materials of TPs.  These publicity materials include but may not be limited to videos, collaterals, posters, digital advertisements and websites.

2              Please be reminded that “SkillsFuture” brand and SSG logo are trademarked.  If you intend to use the SSG and/or SkillsFuture logos in your publicity materials, you should seek SSG’s permission first before developing the publicity materials.  If you have not sought permission earlier or are in doubt, please contact SSG for advice accordingly.

(B) MARKETING GUIDELINES FOR SKILLSFUTURE CREDIT SCHEME (SFC) AND SSG FUNDED COURSES

3              In January 2017, SSG issued the marketing guidelines to set out the ground rules on the marketing outreach and publicity of SFC-eligible courses by TPs.  All TPs are required to adhere to these marketing guidelines.  Subsequently, the terms and conditions relating to the marketing guidelines had also been incorporated into the ‘Terms and Conditions for SkillsFuture Credit Eligible Courses’ on 1 March 2017. The guideline is now further extended to cover all the SSG funded courses.  Please refer to the attached marketing guidelines for training providers.

4              SSG takes a serious view of any individual or organisation that abuses the SFC and SSG funding, and will not hesitate to act against those who contravene our guidelines and terms on the use of SFC-eligible and SSG funded courses.  Warning or suspension would be imposed on TPs for breaching the marketing guidelines.
 
5              You are reminded to adhere to SSG’s stipulated guidelines for the use of SSG  name & logo as well as the marketing practices for SFC-eligible and SSG funded courses.  More details can be found in the Terms and Conditions available on the SkillsConnect website https://www.skillsconnect.gov.sg/web/guest/termsandconditions.
