Tightening Measures for CET in Response to COVID-19

05 Apr 2020

Dear Training Providers,

In line with the additional national measures announced in response to COVID-19 on 3 April 2020, we will need to adjust the delivery of Continuing Education and Training (CET) in a manner which minimises physical interactions and supports the national “circuit breaker” effort.

 2.           With effect from 7 April 2020 until 4 May 2020 (inclusive), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will require all CET to be conducted via virtual classrooms and other forms of e-learning. All training providers are required to convert the delivery of their training and assessments to online or e-learning modes, to be able to continue with the delivery of CET courses. This includes in-flight courses. The end-date of 4 May 2020 may be extended, depending on the national COVID-19 situation.

3.            SSG expects almost all in-person training to be suspended for this period. SSG’s approval will be required for in-person training and this will only be granted for exceptional cases. This will be for training in response to the needs of severely affected sectors supported under SSG’s Enhanced Training Support Package (ETSP), or for training urgently needed for essential roles to support national COVID-19 efforts. This in-person training will also be limited to specific segments of training and assessments that cannot be conducted via virtual classrooms and other forms of e-learning.

4.            SSG will be providing more information within the next few days.

5.            You may contact the SSG hotline at 6785 5785 or log a case via the Feedback Portal at for any clarifications.

Thank you.
